Trio
Cantus Trio is a vibrant chamber ensemble dedicated to innovative programming, compelling performances, and creative collaboration. Founded in 2025 by Noah Palmer, piano, David Bebe, cello and Jamecyn Morey, violin- the ensemble made its debut with a program of little-known gems from the 20th-century French repertoire, presented on concert series throughout the Northeast. Cantus Trio also launched its inaugural season in collaboration with Albany Pro Musica, the Capital Region’s preeminent choral ensemble, performing Alex Berko’s A Sacred Place in a program broadcast by WMHT.
The trio’s 2026 programming shines a spotlight on remarkable women composers, featuring works by Rebecca Clarke, Jennifer Higdon, and Arlene Sierra. Through thoughtful programming and a spirit of exploration, Cantus Trio seeks to bring fresh perspectives to the chamber music repertoire and foster meaningful connections with audiences and fellow artists.
Based in upstate New York, the members of Cantus Trio maintain active, multifaceted careers as performers and educators. Their deep engagement with the musical life of the Capital Region, combined with diverse artistic experiences and perspectives, informs the ensemble’s collaborative approach and commitment to bringing adventurous chamber music to audiences throughout the region and beyond.
